One of the main requirements of The House’s latest higher education bill is to have each College & University
‘‘(2) develop a plan for offering alternatives to illegal downloading or peer-to-peer distribution of intellectual property as well as a plan to explore technology-based deterrents to prevent such illegal activity.”
I envision every computer in the University’s Lab with a branded interface sidebar for MP3 downloads. This law sets up a profit center for private entertainment distribution businesses in the school. Does the University get a cut of the profits? What a sweet deal!!!
