Tahero has brought to light the more complicated side of Rap Culture with this piece weighing in on the impossibility of quantifying art and metaphor in Rap. Described here as only a lively and casual, but I think it is genius and a true reflection of the times. To get so many brilliant minds in one room with a true interest in opening to yoke specific subjects on art and connecting that to Rap culture in any way is proof of the power of words but also testimony to the impact of the Rap Cultures influence in the Arts generally. I’m stimulated because the poetic voices of some of our everyday Rap Moguls like Jay-Z and Kanye West are being recognized as something scientific.
