Living Audio is a 15″ × 15″ serigraph on museum-grade Arches paper from the Intonarumori: Noise Making Machines series. This body of work uses data visualization to connect Luigi Russolo's 1913 Futurist manifesto on noise to the sonic and cultural revolution of hip-hop — framing both as noise-making machines in the truest sense.
Hand-pulled screenprint technique. The physical texture of a hand-pulled print on archival paper is the point — this is not a reproduction, it is the work. Limited to 25. For collectors building around the intersection of sound culture, data art, and hip-hop history.
Edition of 25. Hand-signed and numbered by Tahir Hemphill. Ships flat in archival packaging.
A work by Tahir Hemphill — Creative Capital Grantee, Harvard W.E.B. Du Bois Institute Fellow, and artist whose work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art.
