Mapper's Delight: Nas (Half-Scale Edition)

This data sculpture translates the geographic reach of hip-hop lyrics into physical form. Using data from the Rap Almanac, an industrial robot arm traced the mapped locations of 12 rappers’ words, creating light-drawn shapes that capture their global influence. Cast in gold-plated steel, the final form preserves these lyrical journeys as a lasting visual record.

This half-scale edition of Mapper’s Delight: Nas offers a more intimate take on the original gold-plated data sculpture. At 50% smaller in size, the piece preserves all of the detail and conceptual weight of the original while making it more accessible for collectors with limited space.
